Almost 40 years ago I was fortunate to be offered a position with finance company AGC Limited in their Hobart office. Like many other people my age at that time I didn’t have any real career direction but was still looking for what I wanted to do. Little did I know the opportunity offered to me by AGC led me on a career path that has now spanned almost 40 years. Some of the clients I deal with today I first met when I was employed by AGC all those years ago.

Having spent 16 years with AGC, in the mid 90’s new opportunities beckoned in the Finance Broking industry. I was instrumental in establishing a plant and equipment/commercial finance broking company in Hobart. This business grew to be one of the major commercial finance broking businesses in the State and later went on to establish a very successful home loan broking subsidiary. I later sold my interests in these businesses.

In 2011 I joined the Finlease Group and established the Tasmanian operations with the office located in Hobart.

During my time in the industry I have developed a significant and varied client base and strong business relationships with key Tasmanian business leaders across a broad range of small and medium enterprises, as well as some of Tasmania’s largest employers in the manufacturing, civil contracting, mining, transport, tourism and aquaculture industries. I have known and worked with many of these clients for over 20 years.

When not working to provide clients with finance solutions you might find me in either the gym or on the golf course, working on my fitness or reducing my handicap.
