Michael Abberton

I’ve worked in the Financial Services industry for over 19 years, having joined QBE Insurance in 2000.

In 2004, I moved to Orange from Western Sydney after accepting a role with Westpac Bank. I worked for Westpac and the CBA for 7 years and during this time I received Home Lender and Business Banker of the Year awards.

In 2011 I joined Finlease and opened their first Regional Office in Orange. Since this time my business has expanded dramatically with a client base that spreads from the Far North Coast to Albury. I have a dedicated support team of business writers and a PA.

Despite the large geographic area, the consistent part is working with wonderful regional business’ and providing exceptional service at better outcomes than the banks.

I work in many industries, including Transport, Civil, Quarry, Forestry, Manufacturing and Engineering.

I am a long-term business partner and strong finance advocate.

In 2018 I received the St George Bank introducer of the year award. This was competing against all the equipment finance brokers in Regional and Metropolitan areas.

With access to over 20 banks and financiers, 19 years of industry experience, there isn’t much that I can’t get done.

Being Regional, reputation is everything and I have continued to grow and expand my business on the back of this.

Socially, I enjoy a hit of tennis, squash, cricket and anything hand-eye related, when I get time.
