Prior to joining the Finlease team I spent over 12 years in the credit management industry, working closely with a diverse set of business owners across the country. From construction to transport, various wet and dry hire categories, agricultural, engineering, manufacturing and wholesalers amongst others – I have had the good fortune over the years to be exposed to an incredibly wide range of industries. This has provided me with a deep understanding of the challenges commonly faced by small and medium business and what it takes to be successful.

Over the years I have learnt that the age old saying “you don’t know what you don’t know” continually rings true. There have been many times where I have sat down with a business owner to educate them on anything from a simple credit check right through to the complexities of the PPSR legislation. At the end of the conversation, I am usually able to leave a more informed business owner now ready to utilise a new idea, or an even better strategy than what they have previously been using, to improve their business. It is a great feeling of satisfaction to be able to enlighten someone and improve their business through expertise and knowledge whenever the opportunity arises.

These days I use this same approach with Finlease – where we pride ourselves as a great alternative to the banks. Whether it be a better rate, a faster service or just a better strategy for a business owner to be able to implement in their own business – there is usually at least some way where we can make a difference. My goal is always to work with a business over the long term, watch you grow and be there to help and guide you whenever the need arises.

At the end of the day it is all about adding value to your business and helping you to grow your asset.

On a personal level I enjoy getting in the ocean to chase some waves, spending quality time with my young family or cooking something fresh over an open fire that I have either caught out of the ocean or sourced from local producers.
